The Caroline Chisholm College Mock trial team defeated Penrith High School in round two of the competition. Emma Thornton and Ebony Humphrey showed great skill in cross examination, areas for objection and in the preparation and delivery of their opening and closing addresses. Sarah Toan and Ria Varghese learnt their witness statements thoroughly and were well prepared for trial. Clare Devlin had detailed case notes and confidently participated in proceedings as team solicitor. Lauren Dahl supported the team as court officer transferring documents, timekeeping and recording objections.
The girls are to be congratulated on their professional and ethical approach to the trial and engaging in the spirit of the competition. Well done to all the team members and many thanks to Michael Joyce coach and Mrs Natalie Vella for her assistance on the evening.
