iPad Readiness

iPad in purple case
There is only one more week until school starts with Years 7-9 coming back to school on Wednesday the 29th.  Years 7-9 lead an exciting new change at Caroline Chisholm College with the implementation of the iPad as a tool for teaching and learning in the classroom.  Many students and their parents have been coming into the school to setup their iPad on the school Internet network and management system.  So are you ready for Day 1 of school 2014?

Here is a quick checklist for Day 1 so you can make sure you are ready...
  1. Have you attended a setup session at school?  There are two more days of sessions on Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday the 23rd between 10 and 2.
  2. Have you downloaded all of the paid and free apps? The lists can be found on the school website under iPads@CCC and Required Apps.  If you paid your $50 to the school office for your apps and have not yet received the codes to redeem them, contact Kristina Hollis immediately.
  3. If you are in Years 8 and 9, have you downloaded the textbooks from Moodle? Check your school email address for information about this and remember that they are large files and will take some patience in downloading them.
  4. Have you got a good quality case for your iPad? A good case will have a strap that keeps the cover secure around the iPad and a little padding will help protect it from any shock from any accidental drops.  Make sure it is one you can keep a good hold on as you walk through the main corridor when its busy.

If there are any questions about the iPad program, please email Kristina Hollis and she will be more than happy to any any and all questions.
