Today our Years 7–9 students took part in their latest Careers Wellbeing Lesson that was all about identifying and challenging career myths and assumptions they might hear growing up, such as those based on age, gender, job types and level of education. Through interactive activities such as 'Snap Judgements' (spotting quick career biases), 'Bias Mapping' (exploring how common assumptions affect people) and 'Flip the Myth' (turning stereotypes into positives), our students practiced critical thinking and broadened their pathways perspectives. As they begin their own pathways journeys, this was a great opportunity to see how checking and flipping career biases, assumptions and myths can open up new possibilities and help students of any age keep an open mind about their future. Thanks to our Year 7 homerooms for featuring in our photos below and the team at Study Work Grow for the inspiration behind today's lesson.

We are so proud of seven of our talented and dedicated students — Emily B, Charlotte F, Olivia M (Allied Health) and Katie-Maree C, Alyssa F, Sara M and Maddison R (Nursing) — who graduated from their Allied Health and Nursing Certificate III EVET courses at a special awards event at Penrith Panthers. Adding to the celebration, families joined their VET teachers, alongside Mrs Cairns, Mrs Petrovski, Mrs Vella, Mr Sullivan and Mr MacNamara, supporting the students on this special night. These incredible young women not only navigated a rigorous application process, but also showed unwavering dedication, commitment and hard work to complete their studies and placements over the past two years. A special congratulations to our three major award recipients: 🏆 Emily – Clinical Excellence Award 🏆 Katie-Maree – Clinical Excellence Award 🏆 Sara – Academic Excellence Award (who also delivered an inspiring speech on behalf of her cohort!). Thank you to Mr Sullivan for his work as VET Leader and his ongoing support of our students. The future of health in our local community is truly in good hands. Congratulations to you all!

Olympic Changemaker forum - 2025 The Australian Olympic Change-Maker program recognises secondary students from around the country who demonstrate the Olympic spirit – friendship, sportsmanship and striving for excellence - both on and off the playing field, through leadership and driving positive change in their school and local communities. The Change-Maker program provides students with the opportunity to share their ideas, connect with other like-minded people and be immersed in a unique Olympic experience, hearing first-hand from Olympians. Our 2025 Caroline Chisholm Olympic Changemaker recipients are Nekea T and Hannah I of Year 12. On Wednesday, 17 September, I was privileged enough to take our two 2025 Olympic Changemaker award recipients to the 2025 National Forum at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. It was an absolute pleasure to accompany these remarkable young ladies who are very deserving of this prestigious award. The day was an opportunity for the girls to collaborate and connect with young leaders and Olympians from right across Australia. The event was showcased by an amazing line up of Olympians: Chloe Dalton | Rugby Sevens Michael Klim | Swimming Noemie Fox | Canoe Slalom Valentino Guseli | Snowboard Maurice Longbottom | Rugby Sevens It was a great day that has left a lasting impression with all of us. Thank you to both Nekea and Hannah for your outstanding attitudes and efforts in all that you do, both on and off the playing field. A big thank you to Mrs Cairns and Caroline Chisholm College for allowing me the opportunity to attend with these two outstanding students. Stephen McIlveen Sport Coordinator

Minute with a Mentor: Kia-Lee Sutton (Careers in Nursing & Allied Health) We were so privileged to welcome Kia-Lee Sutton, parent and friend of our College, for a huge Lunch and Learn recently – and we wanted to share her insights and advice with you too! Kia is the Entry to Workforce Coordinator at Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) and plays a vital role in connecting our students with opportunities such as the Health Inspirations work experience program and the VET in Schools Certificate III courses in Nursing and Allied Health. She generously shared her wisdom in our latest Minute with a Mentor, offering inspiring words for anyone considering a career in the health sector. Celebrating Our Year 12 Pathways Achievements! With graduation fast approaching, today we proudly recognised our incredible Year 12 students who have taken part in a wide range of Pathways initiatives throughout 2025. From university showcases and Lunch & Learn sessions to coaching conversations, scholarships, workshops, university pathways programs, mentoring and volunteering our students have embraced every opportunity to explore and prepare for their futures. Over 100 students engaged in these experiences, working closely with Adam and Kara through personalised Pathways coaching conversations to take charge of their next steps. Today, students were awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold Pathways Accreditation credentials, recognising their remarkable commitment and personal investment in shaping their post-school plans. We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 12s have leaned into every opportunity, demonstrated curiosity and taken action towards their goals. Congratulations Year 12 – your hard work, courage and dedication to your future inspires us all! Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese

On Tuesday, our Year 8 and 9 Student Leaders represented the College at the Lifted Social Justice Launch. Together with schools across the diocese, they explored the theme of the Bishops’ Social Justice Statement “Signs of Hope on the Edge.” Key messages included the call to serve those who are homeless, support mental health, and always remember that everyone has a story and everyone has a name. The statement challenges us to notice, to know, and to respond with love and service to those most in need. Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese
