Students who see a future in the hospitality and foodservice industry joined Cherylee Maybury from HTN (Hospitality Training Network) who gave an incredibly practical and detailed Lunch & Learn on careers in this exciting field. HTN is a not-for-profit Group Training Organisation that has placed more than 12,000 apprentices over the past 30 years, connecting young people with some of the biggest names in hospitality. Cherylee shared valuable insights into: the wide range of apprenticeships available, how to craft a standout resume, interview preparation tips plus the importance of presentation, body language and confidence. A huge thank you to Cherylee for inspiring and equipping the big turnout of students with the tools to take their first steps in hospitality, tourism and food services! Azahlia Stevenson (Class of 2021) has a career that has literally taken off since graduating from CCC! Speaking to a packed Lunch & Learn audience, to cap off our National Science Week events, Azahlia shared her incredible journey so far — appointed into the Royal Australian Air Force in 2022, studying her Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical) (Honours) at ADFA, and serving as an Aeronautical Engineering Officer with the RAAF. More than a career pathway, Azahlia’s story is one of resilience, curiosity and inspiration. She left our students with five powerful pillars for success: - Growth through challenge - Let curiosity lead you - You’re not meant to do it alone - Differences are your strength - Make space for life You can see just what a motivating and engaging experience this was for our students ~ and we're pleased to be able to share some of Azahlia's words of wisdom with you, in the premiere edition of our "Minute with a Mentor" video series, which has just launched too! Thank you Azahlia - it was wonderful to welcome you back to CCC again, inspiring the next generation to reach new heights! Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese

We're excited to launch our brand-new video series - 'Minute with a Mentor' - to showcase the many motivational and inspiring role models that speak with our students in the ever popular Lunch & Learn series. Alumnae, parents and friends of the College generously give of their time and expertise and now we'd like to share their stories with you. In our very first episode, we feature Azahlia Stevenson (Class of 2021). Since graduating from CCC, Azahlia’s career has quite literally taken flight — appointed into the Royal Australian Air Force in 2022, studying her Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical) (Honours) at ADFA, and serving as an Aeronautical Engineering Officer with the RAAF. When she returned to speak with our students, Azahlia’s presentation was packed with wisdom about resilience, curiosity and inspiration. She left our students with five powerful pillars for success including: growth through challenge, differences as strengths and making space for your life outside of study and work. It’s an inspiring first edition — and we’re excited to share it with you! @Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese

Our sensational Year 10 team in the Australian Catholic University VOYSE (Voice of Young Social Entrepreneurs) Challenge is making incredible progress toward their mid-September pitch! They’ve been busy defining and refining their big idea, consulting with peers across the College, as well as focusing on priorities that matter most to our school community — especially in reducing, reusing and recycling resources. They've just hosted a special focus group with a cross-section of our community, receiving invaluable feedback from Assistant Principal Mrs Vella, Ms Devlin, our Pathways Coaches and members of our SRC, to shape their final concept before the big pitch. We can’t wait to see where their passion and creativity will take them! @Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese

Established in 2004 in honour of pioneering cardiac surgeon Dr Victor Chang, these awards celebrate gifted students and aim to inspire growth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). They encourage young people to explore STEM as an exciting and rewarding career pathway. We are incredibly proud of Sofia for this outstanding achievement and commend her commitment to science. On Friday, 15 August, we gathered as a college community to celebrate Mass at St. Padre Pio for the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On this holy day of obligation, we honour Mary’s role as the Mother of God and the spiritual mother of the Church. We also turn to Mary in prayer, expressing our deep faith in God and our devotion to her as a model of discipleship and trust in God’s promises.
