HIGHEST ATAR ON RECORD AT CAROLINE CHISHOLM COLLEGE 2025 ATAR Dux | Aged just 16 We are incredibly proud to celebrate an extraordinary milestone for Caroline Chisholm College. Our 2025 ATAR Dux, Nishika Talusani, has achieved the highest ATAR in the College’s history — a truly remarkable accomplishment made even more impressive by the fact that she is only 16 years old. Throughout her HSC journey, Nishika demonstrated exceptional diligence, determination and resilience, culminating in an outstanding 1st in Course for PDHPE. Her success is the result of years of commitment and a genuine partnership with her teachers — not only across Years 11 and 12, but right back to Year 7. HSC Achievements include: * All Rounder – Band 6 / E4 in 10 or more units * Outstanding Distinguished Achiever / Top Achiever – 1st place in a HSC course with a Band 6 result * Distinguished Achiever – Band 6 in English Advanced, Legal Studies, Mathematics Advanced and PDHPE And Nishika's secret to her success? Here's what she had to say: “A key thing I did was turning each syllabus dot point into a question and making sure I would be able to answer it to ensure I went into the exam prepared for anything they could ask me." "It’s not about studying longer but rather studying smarter. This may include prioritising extra revision on topics that you are less confident in and receiving feedback from teachers on difficult questions to know exactly how to improve your answers.” This is a truly special achievement and an unforgettable milestone for Nishika, her family, teachers and our entire College community. We could not be prouder and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this exceptional young woman.

LISTEN to Sienna's inspiring journey Yesterday morning, one of our Year 12 (Class of 2025) students, Sienna, alongside our very proud Principal Mrs Cairns, featured in a special conversation on 702 ABC Sydney, sharing her courageous and inspiring HSC journey. With her trademark optimism, Sienna spoke about her passion for helping others and her exciting aspirations to pursue a career in health. In 2026, she will take her next step by commencing a Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing (AIN) with NSW Health and the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD), with amazing mentoring and support to achieve this from Kia-Lee Sutton. Congratulations, Sienna, on your extraordinary HSC achievement. Your future is very bright and we can’t wait to see where your dedication, resilience and compassion take you next. SPECIAL REPORT: Trauma Recovery Following the tragic events at Bondi Beach, many children and young people may be feeling unsettled, anxious or confused, particularly if they have been exposed to media coverage or conversations about what occurred. Even indirect exposure to such events can disrupt a child’s sense of safety and lead to emotional or behavioural changes, with each child responding differently depending on their age and individual needs. The brain stores traumatic events as powerful emotional memories, influencing a young person’s behaviour through mechanisms beyond their conscious awareness. By providing them with support and equipping young people with coping mechanisms to handle uncertainty, parents and carers can greatly enhance a child’s capacity to recover and build long-term emotional resilience. This Special Report offers practical guidance to help identify the signs of trauma and outlines ways we can support young people through recovery. Here is the link to your Special Report http://cccglenmorepark.catholic.schooltv.me/wellbeing_news/special-report-trauma-recovery God bless Mrs Tania Cairns Principal Leader

What a special and joy-filled morning we experienced as our wonderfully talented choir brought Christmas cheer to the residents of Glenmore Park Care Community. Led by Ms Wall and Mr Caws, our students performed a beautiful selection of carols that truly captured the heart of the season. Their music, smiles and warm conversations after the performance created a memorable moment of connection with our nearby neighbours and friends. We are so proud of the generosity and spirit our students shared. ❤️✨

Led by our Year 12 Leaders, Dilpreet and Rachel, and generously supported by the Caroline Chisholm community, 120 shopping bags—creating 40 Christmas hampers and gift vouchers have been thoughtfully assembled. Again this year we are working with the Nepean Hub of St Vincent de Paul who will distribute 21 hampers and gift vouchers to families in need in Emerton, St Clair and St Marys. The remaining hampers and vouchers will be donated to Padre Pio, Glenmore Park and Sacred Heart, Warragamba parishes to distribute. Thank you to the wonderful Caroline Chisholm community! Your generosity and compassion in supporting this initiative will help brighten Christmas for many families facing hardship this year. We are so grateful to George and the team at Woolworths Glenmore Park for generously again supporting our appeal by donating 200 Woolworths shopping bags for us to pack our hampers.
