On Saturday morning, the 8th of March, Year 10 students from both Caroline Chisholm College and St Dominic's were joined by their art teachers and other staff members to display their amazing contemporary art installation.
Inspired by the Nepean River, Year 10 students created lino prints from images sketched after a visit to the river.
The beauty of the river was encapsulated in the resulting flags, postcards and hanging bottles displayed on a wonderful sunny morning at Tench Reserve.
Students Tori Campbell and Tara Dangerfield kept a blog updated on the morning of the installation, reflecting on the project based learning experience that had culminated in this final product.
Members of the public enjoyed the glorious weather as they strolled by and were greeted by students who were enthusiastic and eager to share with them what inspired each individual artwork and the project they engaged in to complete them.
