What a special morning it was ~ our fourth annual Year 12 Careers High Tea! On Friday we welcomed six inspiring Caroline Chisholm College alumnae back home to share their stories, insights and advice with our newest Year 12 students - the Class of 2027. They joined CCC staff and our special guests from CSPD - Paul Devlin, Rasha Fitzsimons and Stephanie Campanale. Representing a diverse mix of careers and pathways, our alumnae shared how their journeys have unfolded since leaving the College. From first steps and unexpected twists to exciting opportunities, career changes and lessons learned along the way, they reminded us that there is no single road to success, you don't need to have everything figured out, and some of the best opportunities are the ones you never saw coming! With an inspiring keynote from Hannah, a lively panel discussion and smaller breakout conversations, there was plenty to take away, new perspectives to consider and possibilities to imagine. A big thank you to our six wonderful alumnae - Occupational Therapist Hannah Azzopardi (Class of 2017), Primary Teacher Angela Calderwood (Class of 1995), Life Coach Sara Garrett (Class of 1997), Marketing Officer Taylor Hodgson (Class of 2020), Digital Manager Keeley McCahon (Class of 2017) and Lawyer Lilly-Rose Saliba (Class of 2019) - for returning to where it all began and so generously sharing your journeys with the next generation of Caroline Chisholm graduates. Different journeys, different careers, but one special connection – the College that helped shape their futures. This is what our College sisterhood is all about!

For energy, uniqueness and excitement - this Lunch & Learn had it all! Yesterday we welcomed Chris Hughes and Ray Irving from Fire and Rescue NSW's Fire Investigation and Research Unit, who gave our students a fascinating insight into the science of fire investigation, uncovering clues, working alongside highly trained detection dogs and the many diverse career pathways within this unique organisation. It was a brilliant blend of careers and pathways information, an insight into the valuable and critical work of Fire and Rescue NSW… and, of course, the greatest attraction you can have in a classroom – a LIVE animal! And let's be honest… Xando stole the show! He wowed everyone with his impressive detection skills before completing a lap of honour around N206. It's fair to say there were plenty of happy faces as he made his way around a roomful of adoring Caroline Chisholm College fans! A huge thank you to Chris and Ray for giving up your time, sharing your career journeys and providing such a valuable insight into the highly important work you do. And, of course, a very special thank you to Xando for bringing the pawsome factor! Lunch & Learn - where discovering career possibilities comes with a few wonderful surprises!

Our Year 9 Food Technology students recently participated in an exciting Cupcake Decorating Incursion, where they learnt a variety of buttercream piping techniques and explored creative ways to decorate cupcakes. Students had the opportunity to develop their practical skills, experiment with different piping nozzles and create beautiful cupcake decorations under expert guidance. These new skills will be put into practice as part of their upcoming Party Planning Assessment, where students will design and plan a themed celebration, including creating invitations, developing a menu and producing six expertly decorated cupcakes that reflect their chosen party theme. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience that encouraged creativity, precision and confidence in the kitchen. We can't wait to see their final cupcake creations! 👏🧁 Well done, Year 9!

Congratulations to our talented Dance, Drama, Music, Photography & Visual Arts students who showcased their exceptional work on Thursday night. The showcase was a wonderful celebration of the creativity, dedication and artistic expression of our students. It was inspiring to see their talents come to life through such a diverse range of performances and artworks. A big thank you to our Creative Arts staff for their passion, guidance and commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists and performers.

Caroline Chisholm College was proud to be represented at the CCD Annual Catechist Mass and Awards Ceremony, celebrated by Bishop Vincent at St Patricks Cathedral today. Our Year 10 Catechists, joining fellow catechists from across the Diocese of Parramatta to celebrate the important ministry of sharing the Catholic faith with young people.This year marks an incredible 27 years of service by CCC students as Special Religious Education (SRE) Catechist Teachers in the Diocese of Parramatta. We are immensely proud of the generations of CCC students who have embraced this ministry, sharing their faith, building connections with local parish communities and helping children grow in their understanding of Jesus and the Catholic faith. Congratulations to Year 11 student Josie C for her outstanding performance at the recent Interschool Horse Extravaganza (ISHE) in Tamworth. Representing our school with exceptional skill and sportsmanship, Josie achieved remarkable results across both Dressage and Show Jumping events in highly competitive fields. In the 65cm Combined Training event, Josie delivered an impressive performance among 70 competitors: Show Jumping: 1st Place Dressage: 9th Place Overall Combined Score: 5th Place Building on her momentum, Josie also competed in the 60cm Show Jumping event, securing a fantastic 2nd Place out of 32 riders. Congratulations Josie!

We are incredibly proud of Charlotte B (Year 10), who was recently named Junior Umpire of the Year at the Penrith District Netball Association Presentation Night! Over the past 12 months, Charlotte has achieved her National B Umpire Badge, been invited to umpire for Netball NSW at the Metro and Summer Series competitions, and officiated at numerous representative carnivals. These outstanding achievements reflect Charlotte’s dedication, hard work and passion for netball umpiring. Congratulations, Charlotte, on this well-deserved recognition!
