Our Year 11 Hospitality students put their skills into action at the Alchemy Event, showcasing both food preparation and food and beverage service. Students worked together to prepare, present and serve a range of menu items while demonstrating teamwork, organisation and professionalism. A handful of our Year 12 Hospitality students also joined the team, expertly producing barista-made coffees for guests. It was wonderful to see our students working confidently in a real event setting and taking pride in the quality of their food and service. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Hospitality at Alchemy.

Congratulations to Year 12 student Lara, who has been awarded the Zonta Achievement Award for a Young Indigenous Woman for the NSW and ACT District. Lara was commended for her outstanding service, leadership and initiative within our College and the wider community. We sincerely thank Zonta International for recognising Lara’s achievements and Melinda Beves for visiting the College to present Lara with her certificate.

Congratulations to Mia D in Year 7 on her outstanding success at the National Piano Championship in Canberra! Mia achieved 1st Place in the Classical Section (12 Years and Under) and 3rd Place in the Own Choice Section (12 Years and Under). These are remarkable achievements that reflect her dedication, talent and countless hours of practice. We are incredibly proud of Mia and look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in the future. Well done, Mia!

We were honoured to host the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese Careers and Pathways Network Meeting at Caroline Chisholm College this week, welcoming colleagues from schools across the Diocese and CSPD Head Office. Kara Oliver and Adam MacNamara from our Partnerships & Pathways team provided a showcase of what's happening at CCC, highlighting the many career opportunities and experiences available to our students. An engaging panel featured CCC students from Years 10-12, who shared their first-hand participation in the numerous programs, partnerships, workplace learning and career opportunities they have embraced throughout their time at the College. They then joined our guests on a tour of our Careers and Pathways spaces, helping to bring to life the way we support students to explore and shape their futures. We were also proudly supported by a talented team of Year 12 Hospitality baristas, alongside their teacher, Mrs Blundell, providing industry-quality food and beverages at the recess break! We couldn't be prouder of all our students for the professionalism, confidence and enthusiasm they demonstrated as ambassadors for our College. Their willingness to share their experiences and represent our community made a real impact - and our guests were incredibly impressed! It was wonderful to welcome colleagues from CSPD, Jarara Cultural Centre, Cerdon College, Delany College, Bede Polding College, Penola Catholic College, St Andrews College, Cathwest Innovation College, St Agnus Catholic High School, St Clare's Catholic High School, St John Paull II Catholic College, Xavier College, St Paul's Catholic College and St Patrick's Marist College. A huge thank you to Rasha Fitzsimons and Georgina Vega from the CSPD Careers & Pathways team for their support and for helping make this valuable opportunity for collaboration and sharing possible.

On Monday, we had three of our dance companies compete in the Hawkesbury City Eisteddfod in Windsor. The girls were amazing and had a ball up on stage. Congratulations to our Jazz team for receiving 2nd place and an outstanding score and also to the Hip Hop and Senior Lyrical teams for winning their sections. Well done girls. We are so proud of you!

Year 9 student, Hanna, achieved third place over the weekend in Canberra in the National Senior Piano Championship (19 Years and Under section). Competitors were required to perform 2–3 contrasting pieces, with a performance time of a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 12 minutes. We are very proud of Hanna’s achievement, especially given she was competing in an age category open to performers up to 19 years old. Well done Hanna.

We are so proud to share some exciting news from one of our Drama students! Chloe has been part of the Captivate Drama Ensemble for the past two terms. Last Thursday night, Chloe and four other students representing CSDP were selected to perform at the Rebel Theatre for Australian Theatre for Young People. In addition to this news, Chloe recently auditioned for JMC Academy and was accepted for early entry into the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Acting). What an incredible achievement and recognition of Chloe’s dedication and passion for Drama. We are so proud of her for embracing these opportunities and continuing to develop her skills as a performer. Congratulations, Chloe! We can’t wait to see what you do next!

Congratulations to Josie from Yr 11 who competed on the weekend in the interschools Arndell Anglican College Equestrian Carnival. Josie competed in three classes with her horse Hushy and came away with: 🥇1st Place - Year 11 Best Presented 🥇1st Place - Year 11 Handler class 🥇1st Place - Year 11 Rider class What an amazing effort!

As part of their Workplace Communication unit, Year 11 Work Studies have been learning about the importance of effective communication in different work environments. This term our students have been working closely with Bethany Kindergarten teachers to explore how verbal, written and non-verbal communication are used effectively in a school setting. They have enjoyed assisting Kindergarten in learning how to do The Twist in Music, how to name their colours in Italian and how to master ball control in Sport lessons.

Our Year 12 Dance students presented their practical works in the HSC Dance exams Wednesday. Their hard work, commitment and determination culminated in a positive experience. Congratulations to Georgia and Brodie on completing 80% of the Dance course well ahead of their theory HSC exams in Term 4. A special mention to their Composition dancers Lillie and Yvette from Year 11, who have dedicated numerous hours to learning and rehearsing in preparation for this event.
