Congratulations to Amelia W on her selection in the NSWCCC Opens Football Team! Over the past four years, she has proudly represented the Parramatta Diocese, consistently demonstrating outstanding commitment, sportsmanship, and skill on the field. Earlier this week, Amelia also had the honour of serving as Co-Captain of the Parramatta team, further highlighting her leadership qualities both on and off the field. Amelia is now looking forward to taking the next exciting step in her football journey as she prepares to represent NSWCCC in next month’s competition. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishment and know she will represent both her team and school community with pride. We wish Amelia every success in the upcoming competition!

Today, Caroline Chisholm College proudly celebrated the incredible talents of our students at the Creative Arts Assembly. We were privileged to experience outstanding performances from our Dance, Drama and Music students, whose creativity, passion and dedication truly inspired our college community. A special congratulations to our choir, whose breathtaking performance captured everyone’s hearts. The assembly was also an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our finalists in Clay Gulgong, as well as acknowledge our School Captains for their exceptional leadership and commitment to our college. Today was a wonderful celebration of creativity, talent and achievement, and we are incredibly proud of all our students for sharing their gifts with our community.

Our Year 11 Exploring Early Childhood students recently participated in a range of fine motor skill activities designed for preschoolers, gaining valuable insight into how these experiences support early childhood development. Students enjoyed engaging in hands-on tasks such as threading, cutting, drawing and construction activities, while exploring how fine motor skills contribute to coordination, independence and concentration and building on content covered in class. It was a fun and meaningful learning experience that helped students better understand the importance of play-based learning in the early years.

Our enthusiastic taiko performance group participated in a professional taiko workshop with Graham & Akiko from YuNiOn. Graham & Akiko were very impressed with the girls' performance of "Fireworks" and could see a great improvement from 2025. The group then worked very hard to learn an energetic new piece called, "Step".

Our 'Discover the UNIverse' Lunch and Learn audience heard all about the exciting new opportunities coming with the opening of the brand new University of Wollongong Liverpool campus this week! With a wide-ranging showcase of the UOW experience, Valeria from the uni's High School Engagement Team gave students plenty to think about - from new courses, pathways and early admission options, to scholarships and Work Integrated Learning experiences that connect study with real-world careers. Students also got a glimpse into the vibrant UOW student experience, with campus life stretching from the Wollongong coast to the city and beyond - including a huge range of clubs, societies and study abroad opportunities! A huge thank you to Valeria for sharing so many valuable insights with our students - it was wonderful to welcome you back to CCC again this year!

Game On! Students had a unique opportunity yesterday as we welcomed Allyson Chicote from STEP UP: Playconomics for a Lunch and Learn plus interactive sessions with our Year 10 Commerce classes. As one of its designers, Allyson shared insights into Playconomics, a worldwide-first immersive online game hosted by UNSW that allows students to explore the worlds of business, commerce and economics through real decision-making and interactive gameplay. Students discovered how the multiplayer platform helps build valuable real-world skills including: financial literacy and maths, planning, analytical thinking, teamwork, emotional intelligence, decision-making and problem solving. Even better, students can earn UNSW university credits towards future first-year studies, compete on live leaderboards and even win prizes along the way! Our students were highly engaged and loved seeing how business concepts can come to life in such a creative, innovative and interactive way. Thank you Allyson for inspiring our future business leaders and entrepreneurs!

Recently, a group of our Year 11 student leaders attended the Badgery's Creek Leadership Day at NSW Parliament House. Students had the opportunity to meet with, tour Parliament House and observe Question Time in action. The experience provided valuable insight into the Australian political system and the important role leaders play within our community. Students represented the College with maturity and enthusiasm throughout the day, asking thoughtful questions and engaging positively with the experience.

Over the weekend, a group of our students proudly represented the College at Model United Nations, collaborating with students from across the region to debate global issues and propose solutions to real-world challenges. 🇸🇪🇮🇪 The experience provided an excellent opportunity for students to strengthen their communication, critical thinking and leadership skills while developing a deeper understanding of international relations and diplomacy. We congratulate all students involved for the professionalism and enthusiasm they demonstrated throughout the event.
