Literature Dress-Up Day! Our students brought their favourite literary and pop culture characters to life for Literature Dress-Up Day! There were some fantastic costumes on display, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Transformers, Where’s Wally? and The Little Mermaid cast just to name a few! The day finished with a colourful Parade of Characters, where students proudly showed off their costumes and our winners were announced for each year group. A huge thank you to all our students for getting involved, embracing their creativity and making the day such a fun celebration of literature and imagination!

Congratulations to our Intermediate Netball team, who have taken out two championships in two days. Back-to-back champions for the NSWCCC Netball Championship and PDSSSC Thursday Representative Sport Competition. Such a talented bunch of girls! We wish you the best of luck for next week when they compete at the NSW Netball Cup finals in Homebush for a spot in the State Finals.

While the rest of Year 12 enjoyed their Social Day at Luna Park, our Year 12 Drama students — Amelia, Chloe, Christina, Emma, Indigo and Valentina — were busy showcasing their incredible talent and dedication in their HSC Drama examinations. The girls presented their Group Performance to the HSC external markers, while Amelia, Chloe and Emma also presented their Individual Performances. They have dedicated countless hours to rehearsing, refining and perfecting their performances, and today was an opportunity to showcase the result of all their hard work. We are incredibly proud of their commitment, perseverance and passion for Drama. Well done, girls!

Year 12 Social Day at Luna Park What a fantastic day! After completing their Trial HSC Examinations, our Year 12 students enjoyed a well deserved day at Luna Park filled with fun, laughter, friendship and plenty of memorable moments! It was the perfect chance to step away from the books, recharge and enjoy some time together before returning to the final phase of preparation for their HSC examinations. With plenty of rides, smiles and shared memories, our Year 12 students are refreshed, re-energised and ready to embrace the final stretch of their HSC journey!

A Special Encounter: The Election of Pope Leo XIV – The Last Surprise of Pope Francis - Book Launch Our new Senior Leaders (2027) had the privilege of meeting Gerard O’Connell and Elisabetta Piqué, authors of 'The Election of Pope Leo XIV: The Last Surprise of Pope Francis', gaining a fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into the election of Pope Leo XIV. The authors shared how Cardinal Robert Prevost emerged as the successful candidate, along with heartwarming personal stories of Pope Francis, whom they knew before he became Pope. The experience deepened our students’ understanding of Synodality — walking together, listening, discerning and participating in the life and mission of the Church. A wonderful opportunity for our students to listen, learn and encounter the living Church in action. #InChristWeLoveAndServe #FaithInAction

Our next generation of Fast Forward students have officially launched into their exciting four-year journey with Western Sydney University! Hosted at the picturesque Hawkesbury Campus, the Year 9s, together with their Leader of Learning, Kim Weaire and Pathways Coach Adam MacNamara, joined schools from across the region and stepped into the role of “change agents in training” - exploring how their strengths and transferable skills can help navigate learning and career pathways that help create positive change and shape their futures. The day was packed with opportunities to develop teamwork, collaboration and problem-solving skills, including a campus challenge exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Students took on the roles of Investigators, Explorers, Innovators and Communicators, working together to develop sustainability-focused findings and solutions before presenting their ideas to Fast Forward peers from across Western Sydney. What a fantastic way to begin four years of discovering, connecting, collaborating and Fast Forwarding their futures! Thank you to Ana Setiu Tuala and the Future Student Engagement Team at WSU for this invaluable initiative.

The Year 12 Physics class recently visited the University of NSW with students from Christian Brothers Lewisham to undertake a series of quantum physics investigations. Validating Einstein’s theoretical predictions, they successfully calculated the kinetic energy of photoelectrons liberated from the surface of a metal by incident light. Following a technique employed by astrophysicists to analyse the nature of stars, the students then expertly used the telescopic spectrometer to observe and measure the emission spectra of sodium and mercury.

Congratulations to Mia D in Year 7 on her outstanding success at the National Piano Championship in Canberra!
