| Who |
Young women aged 14 to 24. You don't have to attend CathWest, in fact you may have little knowledge of the workshops, however you are waiting to learn more and get involved in this hands-on workshop. |
| Transport | Students are to make their own way to and from the College. |
| Lunch | Lunch will be provided. Alternately students may bring their own lunch. |
| Dress Code | Long Sleeve top, Long Pants/Jeans, Closed in shoes/boots. |

Congratulations to Nekea T. of year 12, who competed at the NSWCCC Cross Country Championships this week. Nekea placed 14th overall in the U18 girls' 6km (finishing 2nd out of the Parramatta Diocese girls). In addition, the Parramatta U18 girls' team won Gold, placing first in the team event. This was a great achievement, especially being normally such an individual event.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Discover the UNIverse Lunch and Learn featuring the University of Wollongong! We were thrilled to welcome Valeria from UOW’s School Engagement team, who delivered an engaging and informative session showcasing the 350+ courses on offer, the vibrant student lifestyle and campuses, including its renowned coastal location in Wollongong. Students got the inside scoop on: campus accommodation and living in a university city, early entry and adjustment factors, pathways like diplomas and new course offerings, the exciting 2026 move to UOW’s brand new Civic Place campus in Liverpool plus clubs, societies, scholarships, study abroad—and much more! A huge thank you to Kiri Armstrong and Karyn Downs who joined us via Zoom for today’s energising Lunch and Learn session! They gave our students an exciting insight into the career opportunities available through the Endeavour Energy (NSW) Apprenticeships Program — a powerful pathway into this ever-changing industry. With Endeavour Energy’s services reaching over 2.7 million people across NSW, students were eager to hear what a career could look like at one of Greater Western Sydney’s largest employers. Kiri and Karyn also shared their experiences in a workplace that champions safety, inclusion, career progression and particularly support for women in trades and technical roles. After all the recent rain, Year 8 Sport - Ag Club worked together to clear the paddocks of Apple of Sodom weed and thistle weed and cleared the weeds from the garden beds preparing for harvest. 1 group worked together to clean out the the chicken runs.

We are so proud to celebrate an exceptional group of Year 12 students who’ve shown incredible resilience, determination and courage! Through the Australian Catholic University 'Uni Step Up' program, these eight remarkable young women have taken bold steps toward their futures—earning early university offer eligibility after completing two first-year uni subjects while still in high school! Last week, they were officially awarded their university credentials at ACU Strathfield, having dedicated two full 6-day intensive study blocks during their school holidays. Their potential pathways now include fields such as Exercise and Sports Science, Business, Nursing and Midwifery. Balancing uni-level learning with school life is no small feat—but they’ve done it with grit, grace and an unwavering commitment to their goals. Congratulations to our graduates—you’ve certainly made us very proud! We will be acknowledging the Step Up students' achievements this Friday at our College Assembly.
