Congratulations to our ARTEXPRESS Nominees from the class of 2025. A massive congratulations to our Year 12 students who completed their Visual Arts Bodies of Work this year. We are very proud of their dedication and the application that has been demonstrated in their Visual Arts course. A special congratulations goes to our five students who have been nominated for consideration for ARTEXPRESS this year. These students are Fatimah A, Madison J, Georgina M, Scarlett S and Anna Z. We are extremely proud of your accomplishments this year.

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT: ANOTHER NESA NOMINATION. The College would like to congratulate Gia A (12 Jackson) on receiving an OnSTAGE nomination for her Video Drama titled 'Transendencia'. This piece explores the impact of the Spanish Civil War on a young female and her experiences during the war. Gia creatively connected this conceptual piece back to her culture while including her talents of production, post-production and using her knowledge in VET Entertainment to bring her vision to life. Everyone at the College is exceptionally proud of Gia's achievements, especially her Drama teachers, Mr Cassel and Mrs Lemaire. Amazing job, Gia!

Our visitors from Akita Minami were only with us for two days but we had a great time together. Thank you to all of the students who welcomed them enthusiastically and, especially, to the fourteen families from our community who hosted the students in their homes.

7Wright enjoyed getting to know the exchange students from Akita Minami. They started conversations with the Japanese they have been learning in class before using a mixture of Japanese and English to get to know each other.

Congratulations to Matilda of Year 10, who has been achieving great things on the national and international stage in Para Archery. Some of her achievements so far in 2025 have been the following - ~Recently named the 2025 AWD athlete of the year. ~ Under 21 Youth Para National Champion. ~ Bronze and silver at the Open Para National Championships. ~ Member of the Australian Under 21 Para Youth Team and will represent Australia at the Fazza World Championships in Dubai in 2026. With her determination and talent, Matilda is shaping up to be one of Australia’s future stars on the world Para archery stage.

The Class of 2026 experienced a special event like no other today. Now in its third year, the Year 12 Careers High Tea is a signature event and a highlight of the College calendar, celebrating six decades of accomplished alumnae and the diverse career paths they’ve forged. Held exclusively for Year 12, our High Tea is designed to inspire students as they begin their HSC journey, offering real-world insights and encouragement from women who share a special bond across the years. The engaging forum featured keynote speaker Professor Emeritus Margot Kearns — our College's first ever Captain — alongside a panel of six remarkable graduates who shared stories of leadership, resilience and success. We were also pleased and honoured to welcome our special guests from CSPD and the Western Weekender. More than just an event, the Careers High Tea continues to embody the College’s spirit of sisterhood, connection and aspiration. We sincerely thank these amazing women for generously sharing their time, wisdom and experiences with our students: Chantelle Al-Khouri (Class of 2016), Lauren Bozic (Class of 2014), Sam Arnold (Class of 2015), Margot Kearns (Class of 1977), Corinne Duffy (Class of 2000) and Emily Thomas (Class of 2003).

Our Year 9 Food Technology students are rising to the challenge this term — planning, baking, and presenting their own celebration cake as part of their 'Food for Special Occasions' Common Task. To help them refine their skills, they were thrilled to take part in a hands-on workshop with Saoirse Blazevic, owner of boutique cake business Sift’d. Students mastered skills such as making American buttercream, colouring icing and experimenting with a range of piping techniques. Students even discovered new passions that may inspire future careers as pastry chefs!
