On Friday 3 March Mary Khater, Isabella Padjen, Shivani Singh and Meg Whittaker of Year 7 completed in the CSDA public speaking competition at St Andrew's Marayong.
The girls should be commended on their representation of Caroline Chisholm College and on the quality of their speaking.
Isabella Pagjen and Meg Whittaker have both made it through to the Zone Final which will be held this Friday night 10th March at All Saints Liverpool.

On Tuesday and Wednesday the Junior Oztag squad ventured to the Central Coast to play in the Champion of Champions Oztag tournament. It was a great two days of sun, sport and some fun.

What an incredible day for our 7/8 Caroline Chisholm College Netball Team, competing in the NSW Schools Cup at Homebush! π The team showed outstanding skill, determination and teamwork throughout the competition, finishing 2nd in their pool with some fantastic results: π Cranbrook β Win 18β10 π Hills Sports β Loss 11β27 π Endeavour β Win 16β8 π Kincoppal Rose Bay β Win 19β13 π Plumpton β Win 20β5 π Redlands β Win 28β1 The team then progressed through to the Semi-Finals, where they faced Westfields and went down 13β23. What an amazing achievement! The calibre, depth of skill and talent across Chisholm was on full display, with many of our players making their debut and experiencing representative competition for the first time. The growth, confidence and teamwork shown throughout the day was fantastic to see. A huge congratulations to every player for representing Caroline Chisholm College with such pride, sportsmanship and determination. A special thank you to Ella G for her superb netball umpiring and for supporting the team throughout the day.

While the rest of Year 12 enjoyed their Social Day at Luna Park, our Year 12 Drama students β Amelia, Chloe, Christina, Emma, Indigo and Valentina β were busy showcasing their incredible talent and dedication in their HSC Drama examinations. The girls presented their Group Performance to the HSC external markers, while Amelia, Chloe and Emma also presented their Individual Performances. They have dedicated countless hours to rehearsing, refining and perfecting their performances, and today was an opportunity to showcase the result of all their hard work. We are incredibly proud of their commitment, perseverance and passion for Drama. Well done, girls!

Our Year 10 Food Technology students put their product development skills to the test as they conducted a sensory evaluation of their newly developed cookie products! As part of their Food Product Development Assessment, students designed a new cookie as a line extension, considering factors such as appearance, aroma, texture and flavour. They then used sensory testing to gather feedback and evaluate how successfully their product met their design criteria, while other students engaged in tastings. A fantastic opportunity for students to experience the real-world process of developing, testing and refining a food product!

A Wonderful Afternoon of Learning & Fun! Our Year 11 Exploring Early Childhood students had a fantastic afternoon hosting preschoolers from Exploring Hub Childcare Centre! The students put their learning into practice by reading stories, leading colouring activities to develop fine motor skills, and creating a fun βWeβre Going on a Bear Huntβ obstacle course to encourage gross motor development. It was wonderful to see our Year 11 students engaging so positively with the preschoolers and creating such a fun, interactive afternoon of learning and play!

Our Year 10 Food Technology students have been busy developing innovative cookie designs as part of their current Food Product Development unit! Students put their prototypes to the test during a sensory analysis session, where their peers sampled the cookies and provided valuable feedback on appearance, aroma, texture and flavour. Literature Dress-Up Day! Our students brought their favourite literary and pop culture characters to life for Literature Dress-Up Day! There were some fantastic costumes on display, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Transformers, Whereβs Wally? and The Little Mermaid cast just to name a few! The day finished with a colourful Parade of Characters, where students proudly showed off their costumes and our winners were announced for each year group. A huge thank you to all our students for getting involved, embracing their creativity and making the day such a fun celebration of literature and imagination!
