Year 12 students at Caroline Chisholm College had full hearts and full bellies after the annual Careers High Tea.
The school welcomed back six alumnae from the Classes of 2000-2022 to act as role models and mentors for the younger generation.
Partnerships and Pathways Coach at the Glenmore Park all-girls school Adam MacNamara said they're very fortunate to have a strong network of former students who are willing to come back and share their stories.
"We call it the sisterhood," MacNamara said.
"Students from the past coming back to guide and mentor our current students who will then go on to pursue their own careers and pathways.
"I think there's a lovely synergy and connection there across the different graduates and generations."
The panelists included ABC News reporter Chantelle Al-Khouri, interior designer and business owner Blaire Marchand, exercise physiologist Isabella La Malfa, general manager of Clinique and Aveda Corinne Duffy, nurse Alana Blowers, and sales associate at Ray White Ava Musumeci.
Year 12 student Amy Jarukrut aspires to join the Australian Defence Force or go into psychology or criminology, and she said it was encouraging to hear from women who graduated before her even though they went down different career paths.
"Even though it didn't line up with my future, it allowed me to get some inspiration on how I should get there," Jarukrut said.
The student said her favourite speaker was Blacktown Hospital nurse Alana Blowers.
"I really enjoyed listening to her because I want to do something with psychology," Jarukrut explained.
"I feel like that was a really nice way to get to know what a nurse life would be like."
The idea of a high tea came about because the school wanted to create a fun and classy event that suited the students.
"Last year we did a breakfast and this year we thought we'd give it another little twist and call it a high tea," MacNamara said.

On Tuesday, some of our Djuramin students attended the whole-school assembly at Bethany. In this assembly, they shared their Indigenous culture with the Bethany community in the form of dance. About the performance, Harmoni in Year 8 said, "I had fun and it has made me more confident to share my culture with people who many not have seen it before." We thank Mrs Baldacchino at Bethany for helping to facilitate this performance, and the Bethany community for embracing it so kindly. We also thank Hannah from Jannawi Dance Clan and Mrs O from Captivate who continued to support our performance. Finally, a thank you and congratulations goes to the dancers, who represented our school and culture with pride!

Yesterday the Year 11 Ancient History class took part in an excursion to the Chau Chak Museum at the University of Sydney. After participating in two side quests; one to the enthralling history stacks of Fischer Library and the other to the Hogwarts-like Quad and Great Hall (to see the mini market for the University's Creativity Week), the students headed to the museum. The museum staff were incredibly accommodating and enthusiastic, starting with the Lego model of Pompeii (built by the Lego Master himself) and then looking at the various ancient Roman and Greek displays on offer. We also farewelled our learning of Egypt with a trip to the Egyptian wing before lunch. After lunch students were given the opportunity to handle real artefacts that had come from Pompeii and consider what they could tell us about the life of the people who had used them in their everyday lives. It was a fantastic day and the students gained a lot from the experience and received rave reviews from the museum staff for the insight and respect they showed while participating in the experience. Ms Esler feels very lucky to have such an enthusiastic and engaged class.

We are incredibly proud of our talented Visual Arts students who had their works entered into the 2026 Penrith Show Art Competition. Students from Years 7-11 represented Caroline Chisholm College, showcasing their creativity, dedication, and skills across a range of artworks. The Penrith Show provides a wonderful opportunity for young artists to enter a range of categories, allowing them to have their works viewed and judged alongside entries from other artists in the community. A huge congratulations to all students who entered, with a number of our girls receiving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, as well as Highly Commended recognition across their categories. We are so proud of everyone who participated and congratulate our students for embracing opportunities to share their art beyond the school environment.

7ENG1 have been learning about film techniques by creating a makeshift camera lens and using it to create and sketch the images seen through various camera shots and angles around the school. By becoming the filmmakers they are better able to understand how directors make meaning for their audiences in film texts.

We proudly celebrate our graduating students of the 2026 Human Services Allied Health and Nursing courses. They were acknowledged in a graduating ceremony this week where their teachers and supporting healthcare providers spoke glowingly of their achievements and future prospects as healthcare providers. Angelina Cijo was acknowledged in particular for Clinical Excellence in Allied Health. We congratulate Alyssa, Jose, Sienna, Olivia, Amelia, Jemma, Katrina, Angelina, & Lucia for considerable achievement in these courses. Our ongoing thanks and appreciation goes to Mr Geoff Sullivan, our VET Coordinator, for his support and guidance for our students.

Our Year 12 students are in their final days at Caroline Chisholm College, and they are certainly making every moment count! Today was โDress Like a Teacher Dayโ, and our Year 12 students did a fabulous job replicating some of the teachers who have been such an important part of their school journey! Some students channelled their Year Leader, Mrs Rossetto while others transformed themselves into their Homeroom Teacher, Mr Cassel. Our beloved Science teacher Mrs Koz was also replicated, along with our sports teachers Ms Muscat, Mrs Hodges and Mr McIlveen. And Mrs Petrovski certainly wasn't left out of the fun, with a fantastic Year 12 look-alike. From the outfits and hairstyles to the mannerisms and personalities, our Year 12s certainly put plenty of effort into capturing their chosen teachers - and the results were fabulous! Even our Year 12 Homeroom team got into the spirit of the day by dressing as students! Itโs hard to believe their time at Caroline Chisholm College is almost over. Weโre loving seeing the laughter, friendships and memories being made during these final days. Keep making those memories, Year 12 - weโre so proud of you!
